Taiwanese Weightlifter Lo Ying-yuan Strikes Gold Twice at World Championships

Taiwan’s Lo Ying-yuan clinched two gold medals in the women’s 87kg category at the World Weightlifting Championships in Riyadh.

Lo dominated the snatch with a 112kg lift and combined with 245kg.
Despite a shaky start in the clean and jerk, she managed a 128kg lift on her second attempt, securing fifth place.
Norway’s Solfrid Koanda took the gold with a 156kg lift.
Lo’s victory marks the third medal for Taiwanese women at this year’s championships.
Chen Guan-ling swept the 55kg category with a combined weight of 203kg, while Kuo Hsing-chun’s 130kg lift in the clean and jerk in the 59kg category tied for second best.
Lo’s triumph is a testament to the strength and determination of Taiwan’s female weightlifters.
