The Under 17 weightlifters, a group of promising young talents, didn’t disappoint.

They dominated their category, racking up a total of 13 points and securing the Age Group Championship. Royal College, Polonnaruwa, trailed behind with 11 points, landing the first runner-up position.

The senior lifters also put up a strong show, pocketing the first position with 14 points.

Standout performances included Yasan Kavsidu and Sadil Angammana, who both clinched first place in their respective weight categories.
