The Summer House star Amanda Batula might not have struck many fans as having weight issues. But when the team at Total Shape saw her Bravo TV interview, we were intrigued by the simple changes she made to lose weight.

To figure out what exactly she did, I spent a day going through interviews and her Instagram stories to see why her approach was so effective.

We also got our dietitian to review the details she shared about her diet.

And it seems there are two things she does to make sure her favorite pair of jeans always fit perfectly.

How Did Amanda Batula Lose So Much Weight?

Amanda Batula lost so much weight by carefully monitoring her macronutrients and combining them with intermittent fasting. Her husband, Kyle Cooke, has also mentioned that she isn't much of a fan of working out at the gym.

As a personal trainer. I've found that when clients carefully monitor their macronutrients and introduce intermittent fasting, much like the Summer House actress did, it can be incredibly effective in helping them achieve their weight loss goals.

It's interesting that Amanda Batula lost 20 pounds, often associated with strict workouts. However, our dietitian's analysis revealed her success was due to carefully tracking macronutrients and intermittent fasting, not just exercise.

  • Height: 5'7"
  • Starting Weight: 148 lbs
  • Total Weight Loss: 20 lbs

How Did She Change Her Diet?

The Summer House co-star changed her diet by switching to a balanced Fodmap diet to avoid weight gain.

That means cutting down on sugar and carbs, and it especially focuses on reducing fermentable carbs, which is why the diet is often recommended for people with irritable bowel syndrome, as per reports published in the National Library of Medicine [1].

One of my clients with similar weight and digestion issues improved significantly after switching to a Fodmap diet, stabilizing weight and enhancing well-being. This diet includes healthy fats, allowing for a later lunch and longer fasting.

She has also mentioned that she regularly drinks Bulletproof coffee, which is essentially a butter coffee with brain octane oil and grass-fed butter.

And my dietitian said that Amanda Batula's diet plan is a great recipe for losing weight, even if you don't plan to spend a lot of time exercising for weight loss every single day.

"What worked best for me and was easiest and I saw the best results from was intermittent fasting."

The role of social media in shaping dietary choices is evident, as platforms like Instagram offer a plethora of dietary trends and health tips, which can significantly influence public figures like Amanda in making informed dietary decisions.

The Amanda Batula Workout Plan

Unfortunately, Amanda hasn't shared much information about her workout plans.

She has mentioned in an interview that solely relying on exercise wasn't effective for her weight loss. Instead, her focus on dieting, coupled with an active lifestyle, as evidenced by her outdoor activities and hiking adventures shared on social media, has been key to her fitness success.

Has Amanda Batula Maintained Weight Loss?

Yes, Amanda Batula maintained the weight loss she attained after her first official season of the Summer House. This demonstrates the importance of a balanced diet and lifestyle for long-term sustainability.

Her consistent figure and fitness, as seen on social media, highlight that a well-managed diet is crucial for weight loss, underscoring the principle that diet, more than exercise, is key to shedding pounds.

Her Supplements

Amanda hasn't shared any details about specific dietary supplements she takes, so I had my dietitian assess what she's most likely relied on.

Because the Summer Houe star has quite long fasting periods, my dietitian said she probably used electrolytes, but he added that a fat burner would be very helpful as well.

These supplements are mainly designed to boost your metabolic rate to burn off more calories. But they also contain ingredients that can help with appetite suppression.

And considering that Amanda has mentioned that she often doesn't feel hungry until mid-afternoon, that would be a good explanation of how she achieves that.

Lessons From Amanda’s Journey

Amanda Batula’s story shows that tracking macronutrients and practicing intermittent fasting can bring lasting results without hours in the gym.

Her focus on diet over exercise proves that simple adjustments can reshape both body and lifestyle.

At Total Shape, we see the same strategies working for many clients who want sustainable results.
