As a certified personal trainer, I recommend that most of my clients take pre-workouts and free testosterone boosters if their T-levels are low. But I generally advise them to take these as separate supplements.

The main reason is that this approach gives you more control. But when some friends of mine started talking about a product that seemed to do a good job of combining both, I had to do more research.

So I teamed up with my dietitian to take a close look at the Nitraflex formula, and we tested it out with the team and some clients.

Here’s what we found for this GAT Nitraflex review.

What Is Nitraflex?

Nitraflex Pre-Workout supplement product

Nitraflex is a pre-workout supplement by German American Technologies (GAT), manufactured since 2018. The creatine-free formula targets blood flow, energy, strength, endurance, and testosterone support.

However, the same formula has remained unchanged since launch.

Key claims include promoting blood flow for pumps, energy for strength and endurance, and improved testosterone levels.

Benefits & Downsides

The blue raspberry flavor tastes good, and the powder dissolves quickly without clumps. However, it's costly for a product that doesn't deliver on its main promises.

Pros
  • The powder seems to mix easily with water
  • Positive comments from users about improved pumps
  • It doesn’t contain creatine to avoid water retention
  • It comes in a wide range of flavors that are quite tasty
Cons
  • It doesn’t seem to boost strength and endurance enough
  • The company hides behind a proprietary blend

Nitraflex Pre-Workout Ingredients

Supplement facts of Nitraflex Pre-Workout
  • L-Citrulline Malate: Extensively studied nitric oxide booster that improves blood flow. Works well for bodybuilders seeking impressive pumps through higher nitric oxide levels [1].
  • Arginine Silicate: Unusual choice since most companies use L-arginine malate. Unclear arginine ratio makes it difficult to confirm effectiveness [2].
  • Beta-Alanine: Proven amino acid for muscle endurance and fatigue reduction. However, most studies used 800mg doses, and Nitraflex's proprietary blend prevents knowing the actual amount included [3].
  • L-Tyrosine: Common in pre-workouts and nootropics for mental stamina and positive neurotransmitter production. WebMD notes its importance in producing "epinephrine, norepinephrine, and dopamine" affecting "mood and sleep."
  • Caffeine Anhydrous: Clear exercise performance benefits, but requires careful dosing to avoid jitters [4].
  • DMEA Bitrate: May improve brain function and mood, though evidence is limited. Insufficient amount in formula based on client feedback [5].
  • L-Theanine: Supports mental wellbeing and relaxation. Limited physical performance benefits according to testing results [6].
  • Rauwolfia Vomitoria Root Extract: No supporting evidence for pre-workout use. Limited exercise performance research available.
  • Boron Citrate: Known testosterone-boosting ingredient. Positive addition but shouldn't be relied upon alone for testosterone enhancement.

How Does It Compare To Other Products?

We compared Nitraflex to other products like Gorilla Mode, 4 Gauge, and Transparent Labs Preseries to see how it stacks up.

First off, it came nowhere near the benefits of Gorilla Mode. It has a much stronger formula for citrulline, betaine, and creatine, and the measured performance boost is significant.

4 Gauge is another product that many of our professional bodybuilders take, and it’s again the combination of creatine, citrulline, and theanine that seems to produce more physical and mental energy.

And finally, we compared results to Transparent Labs Preseries. Here we also found better results even with the stimulant-free version, with better endurance and less fatigue.

Where Can You Buy GAT Nitraflex?

Available on Amazon with normal ordering process. Amazon Prime members typically receive orders within 3 days, which is slower than average.

Caution: Often out of stock, and ordering from Amazon resellers risks receiving counterfeit supplements. Supply chain issues make consistent availability challenging.

Here are a few online reviews that we found where people had similar things to say.

“Nitraflex is a good pre-workout for someone looking for maintained energy at the gym without being overly strong I find it works best before I go to work rather than after as it doesn’t give me enough boost after being at work for 10 hours”

“The effect is fine and rejuvenating and even pumping But when you drink more than twice a day you get symptoms of caffeine poisoning Fatigue and nausea Blue raspberry is not a taste for Japanese people”

FAQs

Does Nitraflex Have Banned Substances?

No, Nitraflex doesn't have banned substances. Its ingredients are natural and won't come up on a drug test.

When Should You Take Nitraflex?

You should take Nitraflex about 20 to 30 minutes before a workout. This allows your body to absorb the ingredients and achieve the best results once your training intensity starts to increase.

What Makes Nitraflex Different from Other Pre-Workout Supplements?

Nitraflex stands out due to its unique formula that focuses on high-intensity energy and testosterone boosting. It combines traditional pre-workout ingredients with testosterone-enhancing compounds, making it a popular choice for those looking to increase both energy and muscle strength.

Can Nitraflex Improve My Weightlifting Performance?

Yes, Nitraflex is designed to enhance weightlifting performance by increasing energy levels, improving focus, and potentially boosting testosterone levels. These effects can lead to more effective workouts and potentially better muscle growth and strength gains.

Is Nitraflex Suitable for Cardio Workouts?

While primarily targeted at strength and high-intensity workouts, Nitraflex can also benefit cardio sessions by increasing energy and endurance. However, its high caffeine content may not be suitable for everyone, especially those sensitive to stimulants.

How Quickly Does Nitraflex Take Effect?

Nitraflex typically begins to take effect within 30 minutes of consumption, with users often reporting a noticeable increase in energy and focus. The exact time can vary based on individual metabolism and the contents of one's stomach.

Are There Any Long-Term Benefits of Using Nitraflex Regularly?

Regular use of Nitraflex may contribute to improved workout performance and muscle building over time, especially when combined with a consistent exercise regimen and proper nutrition. However, it's important to cycle off stimulant-based pre-workouts periodically to prevent tolerance build-up.

Our Verdict on Nitraflex Pre-Workout

Based on our research and testing results, we don’t think Nitraflex is the best option. The proprietary blend makes it difficult to say if the dosage is strong enough, and from testing it with clients, we didn’t notice a significant performance difference.

For the best results, I would still recommend Gorilla Mode. The formula is far stronger for key ingredients like citrulline and creatine, and that has given our clients the consistent results they look for.

On average, it only takes about 20 minutes to start feeling the effects, and the pumps are very impressive. You’ll also notice both a physical and mental boost, which tends to help with staying motivated throughout your sets.

  1. I always prefer coffee as a pre-workout drink, but after reading that Nitraflex also has resveratrol, I might give it a try.
