As a personal fitness coach, I recommend that most of my clients take pre-workouts and free testosterone boosters if their T-levels are low. But I generally advise them to take these as separate supplements.
The main reason is that this approach gives you more control. But when some friends of mine started talking about a product that seemed to do a good job of combining both, I had to do more research.
So I teamed up with my dietitian to take a close look at the Nitraflex formula, and we tested it out with the team and some clients.
Here’s what we found for this GAT Nitraflex review.
What Is Nitraflex?
Nitraflex is a pre-workout supplement based on natural ingredients. The company behind this product is German American Technologies (GAT for short), and they have been making sports nutrition supplements since 2018.
From what we can tell, this is still the same new formula with no changes to it since they first introduced it.
That’s not a long time, but a quick glance at the creatine-free new formula shows that there do seem to be a few interesting ingredients like beta-alanine, l-tyrosine, and boron citrate.
What’s interesting is that they claim to be promoting blood flow for pumps, energy for strength and endurance, and improving testosterone levels.
We’ll see how well it does shortly.

Benefits Of Nitraflex Pre-Workout
The first thing we did like about GAT Nitraflex is that it comes in quite a long list of flavors. That makes it less likely to get bored of the same one. And they actually taste pretty good.
The pre-workout and testosterone powder also dissolves quickly in a shaker, so you don’t end up with a clumpy mess, as we’ve seen with many other pre-workouts.
We also found that it seems to work great for blood flow and better muscle pumps. And for athletes who have struggled with water retention from creatine use , this could be a good alternative.
Does It Have Downsides?
From reading through online reviews and getting feedback from clients with plenty of pre-workout experience, we found that most people don’t think that GAT Nitraflex boosts their strength enough.
It might be down to having too little beta-alanine, which leads us to the second issue.
GAT has decided to list a proprietary formula, which means that you don’t get to see what the exact amounts are. That also makes stacking very difficult or impossible.
- The powder seems to mix easily with water
- Positive comments from users about improved pumps
- It doesn’t contain creatine to avoid water retention
- It comes in a wide range of flavors that are quite tasty
- It doesn’t seem to boost strength and endurance enough
- The company hides behind a proprietary blend
Yes, the GAT Nitraflex taste, especially blue raspberry, is quite good. But it’s expensive for a product that doesn’t seem to deliver on its promises.
Nitraflex Pre-Workout Ingredients
As mentioned above, the label has a proprietary blend, which means we can’t tell you exactly how much of each ingredient is in it.
Here’s a quick look at the ingredients.
L-citrulline malate has been studied extensively, and trials have shown that it works as a nitric oxide booster to improve blood flow . This seems to work well for bodybuilders, where those higher nitric oxide levels bring about some impressive pumps.
This was a slightly strange ingredient as most other companies choose l-arginine malate . It’s also completely unclear what the arginine ratio is, so we really can’t confirm if this is doing any good.
Beta-alanine is an amino acid, and it’s been widely studied and proven to help with muscle endurance and reducing fatigue .
However, most studies looked at a dose of 800 mg, and because we can’t tell how much is in Nitraflex, we have to gauge it by results. And we didn’t see a huge reduction in fatigue during our testing.
This is an ingredient we have seen more often in pre-workout supplements and nootropics. The main benefit is mental stamina and producing positive neurotransmitters .
“Tyrosine is particularly important in the production of epinephrine, norepinephrine, and dopamine. It helps form important brain chemicals that affect mood and sleep.”
Caffeine can do so much more than wake you up in the morning. Studies have shown a clear link to exercise performance , but you do have to be careful with the amount to avoid jitters.
This is another ingredient that may have some links to improved brain function and mood . I’m just not sure if there’s enough of it in this formula as I can’t say that our clients felt a significant improvement in their mood and motivation.
Again, this ingredient is mainly tied to mental wellbeing, relaxation, and mood . There’s just a bit of a lack of physical performance boosters, which seems to be supported by our testing results.
Rauwolfia Vomitoria Root Extract
I really couldn’t find any supporting evidence for this ingredient in a pre-workout, and according to some sources, there is limited support for its use, with no mention of exercise performance .
Boron is a known testosterone-boosting ingredient, which is positive to see . But it’s just one of many that you’ll find in typical testosterone-enhancing powder. Our dietitian said that you wouldn’t want to rely on it alone.
How Does It Compare To Other Products?
We compared Nitraflex to other products like Gorilla Mode, 4 Gauge, and Transparent Labs Preseries to see how it stacks up.
First off, it came nowhere near the benefits of Gorilla Mode. It has a much stronger formula for citrulline, betaine, and creatine, and the measured performance boost is significant.
4 Gauge is another product that many of our professional bodybuilders take, and it’s again the combination of creatine, citrulline, and theanine that seem to produce more physical and mental energy.
And finally, we compared results to Transparent Labs Preseries. Here we also found better results even with the stimulant-free version, with better endurance and less fatigue.
Where Can You Buy GAT Nitraflex?
You can buy GAT Nitraflex pre-workout on Amazon.
The order process is normal, and with an Amazon Prime account, I was able to receive it on average in 3 days, which is a bit on the slow side.
I did have a problem that it’s not always in stock, and I’m always cautious of ordering from Amazon resellers.
You don’t want to end up with a fake supplement.
Ultimately, it seems like it’s out of stock more often than it’s in stock, and that makes keeping a good supply more difficult.

Nitraflex User Reviews
Here are a few online reviews that we found where people had similar things to say.
“Nitraflex is a good pre-workout for someone looking for maintained energy at the gym without being overly strong I find it works best before I go to work rather than after as it doesn’t give me enough boost after being at work for 10 hours”
- iHerb Customer
“The effect is fine and rejuvenating and even pumping But when you drink more than twice a day you get symptoms of caffeine poisoning Fatigue and nausea Blue raspberry is not a taste for Japanese people”
- iHerb Customer
Does Nitraflex Have Banned Substances?
No, Nitraflex doesn't have banned substances. Its ingredients are natural and won't come up on a drug test.
When Should You Take Nitraflex?
You should take Nitraflex about 20 to 30 minutes before a workout. This allows your body to absorb the ingredients and achieve the best results once your training intensity starts to increase.
Should You Buy Nutriflex?
Based on our research and testing results, we don’t think Nutriflex is the best option. The proprietary blend makes it difficult to say if the dosage is strong enough, and from testing it with clients, we didn’t notice a significant performance difference.
For the best results, I would still recommend Gorilla Mode. The formula is far stronger for key ingredients like citrulline and creatine, and that has given our clients the consistent results they look for.
On average, it only takes about 20 minutes to start feeling the effects, and the pumps are very impressive. You’ll also notice both a physical and mental boost, which tends to help with staying motivated throughout your sets.
Find out more about it in our full Gorilla Mode review and see what kind of results we got.
