Who is Joe Rogan?
It’s a bit difficult to pin down what Joe Rogan is most famous for because his career has spanned so many different forms of entertainment. One thing is for sure though — whether you love him or hate him, he is an entertainer.
His career started as a comedian in the 90s, but it wasn’t until becoming the host of Fear Factor in 2001 that he really made it big.
After that, he was also involved with UFC where he was a commentator for the big pay-per-view fights.
He is incredibly outspoken and doesn’t hold back when it comes to matters of politics, religion and any other hot topic in society.
There’s obviously a lot of training involved to achieve that, but on this page, I want to focus more on Joe Rogan's supplements.
What Supplements Does Joe Rogan Take?
While Joe’s TV presence has changed over the years, one of his most successful projects has been his podcast.
Practically all topics are covered, but what I have found most interesting is the interviews he does with health experts. From nutritionists and dieticians to medical doctors and psychologists, he has covered a huge range of topics.
And through this, he has come up with a pretty large supplement cupboard that goes well beyond vitamins and minerals and focuses on both mental and athletic performance.
Let’s take a closer look at the stuff he has mentioned on the podcast and social media.
1. Omega-3 Fish Oil
This is probably one of the simplest products on this list, and its main aim is to give you all the omega-3s you need for the day. These fatty acids are known to improve heart and joint health and should be part of every diet. (1)
The company that makes them has carved out a small niche for people who really want the best quality natural fish oil.

3. Onnit Spirulina & Chlorella
This is a product that has become increasingly popular, especially as a source of a wide range of amino acids for vegetarians and vegans.
Sourced from algae that grow on lakes, this is not a new discovery. The algae have been harvested by ancient South American tribes for millennia and used for their health benefits.
It’s also an excellent source of a wide range of vitamins in a completely natural rather than synthetic form.
While it comes in capsules, you can easily open them and sprinkle the powder on your food or mix it with your smoothies.
4. Onnit Alpha Brain Instant
You might be wondering why there are so many Onnit products on Joe’s list.
The main reason is probably that he’s a major shareholder in the company, but despite that, the company is still known for great products.
Alpha Brain is a very unique formula of ingredients like vinpocetine, huperzine A, L-theanine, and Bacopa Monnieri, which Onnit claims to have clinically tested to boost mental stamina, memory and focus.

This is a product that Joe has mentioned numerous times on his show. Essentially, it’s a non-dairy creamer that you can use with coffee and tea to give you a healthy dose of pure brain energy.
It’s mainly used by people who are focusing on a ketogenic diet, but it will boost your brain power no matter what diet you’re on.
The best time to take them is first thing in the morning with your coffee and Joe refers to this as his “rocket fuel.”
6. Onnit New Mood
I almost missed the mention of New Mood, but a good friend of mine mentioned it a while ago and referred me to episode 845. He talks about this specifically as a product to help boost serotonin levels.
The base ingredients are L-tryptophan and 5-HTP, which help to improve how relaxed you feel, which can really help you unwind and get better sleep.
The best time to take New Mood is later in the day or early evening, especially if you’ve had a busy and stressful day.
7. Onnit Protein Bites
Another regular feature on his Instagram feed is the Onnit Protein Bites. These are very tasty snacks that contain 7 grams of whey protein in each one.
They are great as a post-workout snack when you might be a bit hungry but want to avoid anything too heavy.

According to trial tests that Onnit conducted to compare results to placebos, they encountered significant increases in stamina and power for athletic performance at the gym.
It’s definitely worth trying out as a pre-workout supplement.
15. Nature’s Plus Super C Complex
One problem with Vitamin C is that the body cannot store it. This means you have to constantly consume enough of it, and most people do this through some simple pills.
