As a fitness expert, I’ve come across many dietary supplements that claim to help gym-goers improve their cognitive function, and CogniBoost is one of them.
As one of my clients asked about its effectiveness, I teamed up with a dietitian to do some research, and a dozen of my clients volunteered to try CogniBoost out.
We were journaling for five weeks and thoroughly comparing our findings to provide you with an in-depth review of this product.
What Is CogniBoost?
CogniBoost is an over-the-counter mental health supplement developed to improve alertness, mental clarity, and memory function.
CogniBoost is considered one of the best cognitive health supplements, as it aims to promote cognitive function and provide various health benefits.
It is designed to support brain health and potentially prevent future cognitive decline, although it is important to consult a healthcare professional if you have a serious medical condition.
With CogniBoost, users may experience enhanced mental clarity and not only memory improvements.
It is entirely made of natural ingredients, such as Ginkgo biloba extract, Taurine, and L-Glutamine. According to studies published in the National Library of Medicine, these are proven brain boosters [1] [2].
The dietary supplement is available in capsule form, and each container has 60 capsules.
Let’s see how it works.

How Does CogniBoost Work?
CogniBoost works by influencing your cerebral blood flow and neurotransmitters thanks to a blend of three key components, L-Glutamine, Ginkgo biloba, and Taurine, that mainly activate cognitive function.
According to another study in the National Library of Medicine, all nootropics, including CogniBoost, don’t show immediate effect; it requires long-term use to see results [3].
They need to traverse the blood-brain barrier to enhance brain metabolism.
But does CogniBoost work and live up to what it claims? Let’s take a closer look at what our research revealed.
What Are The Benefits Of CogniBoost?
The benefits of CogniBoost are improved concentration, mental energy, memory, and overall cognitive functions.
Additionally, these substances are believed to protect brain cells from damage caused by toxins and improve thinking abilities so that users can handle tasks in a shorter time [4].
For this part of our CogniBoost review, we asked our testing team to go through two weeks of writing down how they would evaluate their focus, clarity, and memory levels.
Then, we got them through three weeks of taking CogniBoost and asked them to continue journaling and self-assessing their focus, mental clarity, and memory levels.
The first thing we observed was that the formula seemed to cause improvements in overall brain function.
Within two weeks of using CogniBoost, most of our test group found that they were more focused on their workouts.
However, they noted that the effects wear off after about three hours.
To verify if CogniBoost can help users with mental stamina, we focused attention on journal entries made in the afternoons because that is when most individuals feel unmotivated.
Clients who took this nootropic supplement reported feeling a boost in their mental energy.
But they found that the effect lasted for a maximum of three hours. So if you want to benefit from CogniBoost, you must choose a suitable timing.
- Ginkgo Biloba promotes memory and cognitive speed
- Added vitamin B12 to support energy levels and overall cognitive functions
- Affordable compared to other similar products
- Low chances of side effects
- The specific amount of each ingredient is not specified
What Are the Key CogniBoost Ingredients?
The key CogniBoost ingredients are Ginkgo Biloba, Taurine, L-Glutamine, and Bacopa Monnieri, which have been shown to boost brain function.
I analyzed these active ingredients with our dietitian’s help; let’s look at their impact on brain development.
1. Ginkgo Biloba
Ginkgo biloba extract (GBE) is a natural herb included in many other mental health products as it is believed to improve memory. Research has proven that it enhances cerebral blood flow by resolving blood clotting [5, 6].
“Ginkgo biloba has strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant capacities and an ability to improve circulation. Together, these characteristics have the potential to affect numerous body systems and diseases, although the science behind it still has some catching up to do.”
- Ashley Hill, Dietitian & Editor at Healthline.com.
2. Taurine
This amino acid, often added in energy drinks, is believed to modestly prevent some cognitive function issues via various methods, including reducing neuroinflammation and decreasing oxidative stress [7].
3. L-Glutamine
Research has shown that Glutamine has a good impact on mood and cognition, mainly added in dietary supplements for its capacity to decrease inflammation, particularly in people with hypoxia [8].
4. Bacopa Monnieri
Bacopa Monnieri is a herb that has been used in traditional Indian medicine for centuries.
A study found that participants had significantly improved cognitive function after six weeks of taking it, including memory and reaction time [9].
5. Caffeine
Caffeine is believed to improve alertness, focus, and mood. Long-term caffeine consumption is linked to a lower risk of cognitive decline, stroke, Parkinson's disease, and Alzheimer's [10].
6. Acetyl L-Carnitine
L-Carnitine helps increase acetylcholine receptors and, as a result, enhances memory, learning, and overall brain health.
It also prevents age-related cognitive decline and increases dopamine, improving concentration and motivation [11].
How Should You Take CogniBoost?
You should take three capsules of CogniBoost daily.
Our tests found this nootropic supplement's effect is immediate but doesn’t last all day, so I usually recommend experimenting with the timing and spreading out the capsules for maximum effect.
If you take CogniBoost at night, you might lose some of its advantages while you sleep and not be able to achieve peak brain function throughout the day.
I also advise my clients to take a capsule one or two hours before they need that mental energy boost to help them stay motivated after a long day and to help them add more sets to their fitness routine.

Integrating CogniBoost with a Healthy Lifestyle
Here are healthy lifestyle tips to get the most out of CogniBoost.
Balanced diet:
- Nutrient-rich foods: To support your brain health, focus on a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamins. Foods like salmon, walnuts, blueberries, and spinach are not only delicious but also fuel your brain with essential nutrients. These foods work synergistically with CogniBoost, enhancing its effects on cognitive function.
- Hydration: Staying well-hydrated is crucial for maintaining optimal brain function. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water a day to keep your mind sharp and clear.
- Avoid harmful substances: Limit alcohol consumption and steer clear of processed foods high in sugar and unhealthy fats. These can hinder cognitive performance and counteract the benefits of CogniBoost.
Regular exercise:
- Cardiovascular activities: Engage in exercises like jogging, swimming, or cycling. These activities not only improve your overall health but also boost blood flow and oxygen to your brain, enhancing cognitive functions.
- Strength training: While its direct impact on the brain is less obvious, maintaining overall physical health supports cognitive health in the long run.
- Yoga and mindfulness: These activities are excellent for reducing stress, improving mental clarity, and enhancing focus – all of which complement the cognitive benefits of Cogniboost.
Where to Buy CogniBoost?
You can buy Cogniboost from third-party retailers like Amazon and Ubuy.
I haven’t had great luck with these sources, but I had little choice because there isn’t any official website to get the product directly from.

Shipping and Delivery
When it comes to shipping and delivery of CogniBoost, it all depends on where you bought it from. Different rules will apply depending on the retailer.
In most cases, it will take around 3–5 business days for the product to arrive. However, I ordered the three-pack Cogniboost, and it came within two days.
What Are Users Saying About CogniBoost?

Comparison to Other Nootropic Supplements
Our thesis on nootropics research suggests that it doesn’t compare well to our testing of three other products.
Mind Lab Pro
First of all, we looked at the results we have for Mind Lab Pro.
One thing that stands out about this product is its caffeine-free eleven ingredients, all of which have been proven to support cognitive functions.
Unlike CogniBoost, Mind Lab Pro is very transparent with the formula and lists the amount of each ingredient added on the product labels, and the effect lasts longer.
Alpha Brain
The second one we compared is Alpha Brain by Onnit.
My clients who tried this mental health supplement reported that it helped with their focus and motivation, especially during training.
Alpha Brain includes more ingredients than CogniBoost; it relies on four plant-based substances, including acetylcholine, proven to enhance cognitive functions.
Gorilla Mind Smooth
It is a prevalent, non-stimulant nootropic supplement. I’ve witnessed significant improvements in focus due to the presence of eight clinically-backed ingredients.
Compared to CogniBoost, Gorilla Mind Smooth is intended to last longer (8 hours) and have a better effect on boosting energy and reducing stress.
